Database verified September 2026. Reverified entries use current NLM data and curated JabRef abbreviation sources together with OpenAlex identifiers. ISO 4 is the international standard for abbreviating serial titles, and the ISSN International Centre maintains the ISO 4-based List of Title Word Abbreviations (LTWA). The legacy XpertScientific catalogue was originally compiled with reference to ISO 4-1972 and the former ISDS List of Serial Title Word Abbreviations; entries retained only from that catalogue are clearly marked as legacy. Automatically generated abbreviations are not used.
