Standard Editing - Revisions Policy
With our Standard Editing package we provide you with a direct line to your editor as part of our post-editing support. This means that if there are open questions or some of the edits were unclear you can contact your editor through our ticketing system and you will be assisted with any language related issues you may have.
If you wish to make some changes to the manuscript and would like us perform a new edit, we can do so at a discounted per-word price.

Standard Editing - More Info
The Standard Editing package is intended for manuscripts that already have a fairly good level of English but still contain some errors that need to be corrected. Typically, these manuscripts require a limited number of corrections and do not need any major rewrites or text re-organization.
Papers are only accepted for this editing level subject to approval; if after a precursory read we notice that your text requires more substantial corrections then we will upgrade your manuscript to a Premium edit and send you a quote for this editing level. This ensures that our editor has the time needed to carry out all necessary corrections so your manuscript is free of language errors, comprehensible, and reads in a native English tone.

Premium Editing - Revisions Policy
With our Premium Editing package you can benefit from an additional round of editing of minor revisions free of charge (valid for 30 days from the invoice date). This allows you to check our first round of editing, make further adjustments if necessary, and then have these changes checked by us before submitting the final version to the journal. If you add a lot of new text or if the manuscript is completely re-written and requires a full re-edit, then we will charge this at our normal rate or at a discounted rate depending on the amount of new content.

Premium Editing - More Info
The Premium Editing package is specifically designed for manuscripts that require a more extensive level of editing, including a greater number of corrections, as well as more substantial rewrites and text re-organization.
With this package, our editors will not only edit what absolutely needs to be corrected in terms of grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, but also reword particularly awkward or convoluted sentences, or they reduce verbosity in order to improve overall readability and clarity. In addition, they can reduce the word count if your manuscript is above the limit of your target journal or funding agency. Overall, the manuscript will undergo a more thorough review and revision than with our Standard Package and our editors will work closely with you to ensure that your writing is polished and ready for publication.

Carefree Package - Revisions Policy
With our Carefree package you benefit from free and unlimited re-editing of minor revisions free of charge for up to 365 days after our first edit. This includes minor changes to sentences we edited in the first round of editing, or new sentences you add n response to reviewer comments during the peer-review process. However, for major revisions and/or large additions of new content we reserve the right to charge a small fee or a discounted per-word rate.

Carefree Package - More Info
The Carefree Package offers the most comprehensive service level for your manuscript. By selecting this package, you can focus on the science and leave all the rest to us.
We will not only provide the initial editing of your manuscript, but we will also ensure that it is formatted in accordance with your target journal's author guidelines. In addition, we can submit the manuscript to the journal and manage all communication with the journal editor on your behalf. Moreover, we will be with you throughout the peer review process, providing necessary assistance at each step. In the event that your manuscript is rejected, we will re-edit and reformat it to comply with the author guidelines of your new journal if you decide to submit it elsewhere.
*We use a variable per-word price that is higher for shorter documents and lower for longer documents. The prices shown above represent the per-word cost for a 25,000 word thesis or book chapter. Acceptance Guarantee
If a journal rejects your paper merely because of its English proficiency, although you accepted all our edits and made no further changes prior to submission to the journal, we will re-check your manuscript for free and formulate a rebuttal letter to the journal (see our FAQ section).

The prices shown here are for a 25,000 word document. Bespoke discounts may be granted for larger documents such as books or theses upon request. Simply send us an email with your word count and subject area and we will let you know.

Unlike some of our competition, we neither employ automated AI systems nor undergraduate students from low income countries to proofread your manuscript. Proofreading certificate
Upon request, we are happy to provide you with a free proofreading certificate to confirm that a document has been proofread and edited by one or more of our expert editors.
These certificates can be used when you submit your paper to academic journals and publishers. In order to obtain a proofreading certificate, please simply include the request at the time of submitting your manuscript to us.
